There is no better way to start your Christmas shopping than at the Chatsworth Christmas market. With over 100 market stalls offering a wide range of Christmas gifts and decorations plus live music and seasonal food and drink, it's a lovely way to welcome in the festive season.
You can also explore our own exclusive ranges in the Stables shop with home, garden and fashion gifts, food and drink, decorations and thoughtful stocking fillers. Many of our collections are from local or British based makers and small sustainable suppliers.
Take a break from shopping and enjoy a mulled wine or a German beer at one of our outdoor bars, or sample some delicious food, with gourmet burgers and sausages, hot pork rolls, pancakes, churros and more. Alternatively, book a lunch or an afternoon tea in the Cavendish restaurant.
The market is held on Lodge Hill, which is located between the Stables and the house entrance.
Please note that admission to the market is included in all Christmas at Chatsworth tickets booked for visits between 9 November - 1 December, inclusive.

Car parking arrangements
During the Christmas market, car parking arrangements at Chatsworth may be different to those you are used to.
Once the main car park is full, we will be parking vehicles on trackways across the parkland and operating a tractor and trailer shuttle service between numbered shuttle stops and the market. The tractor and trailer service ends 15 minutes after the closure of the garden (View opening times). It is wheelchair and pushchair accessible.
On arrival, please follow the directions provided by our car park marshals and take care when driving on the metal trackways.
In wet weather, the metal trackways and ground around them may become muddy and slippery. Please wear footwear suitable for walking on uneven ground in muddy, slippery and wet conditions. We will not accept responsibility to damage to footwear. We also recommend you have access to a torch.
Local villages
Please note that council parking enforcement officers and local police will be monitoring local villages. Please respect our community by only parking in public car parks and designated parking areas. Please consider travelling by bus (see below).
‘With donation’ and ‘without donation’ ticket prices
When you book online, you will have the opportunity to add a small donation to the Chatsworth House Trust charity to your booking. If you select the 'with donation' ticket option and you are a UK taxpayer, you can add Gift Aid to your booking at no extra cost. Gift Aid allows the Chatsworth House Trust charity to claim an additional 25% from the government.
Visiting by bus
Several bus operators operate services that stop at Chatsworth and the nearby villages of Baslow, Pilsley and Edensor.
