Join Susie Stokoe, Creative Director of Christmas at Chatsworth, as she shares her approach to the creative direction and development of this year’s spectacular Christmas exhibition and illuminated walk.

She will delve into the process of collaborating with the Children's Laureate Joseph Coelho to develop this year’s narrative, Henry and The Chatsworth Lion’s Christmas Feast - the joyful story of friendship and festive feasting that plays out in the house.

Susie will also provide insights into the operational challenges and curatorial processes of such a large scale event, from the installation of pieces from the collection to thousands of Christmas baubles and hiding a lion in Chatsworth House!

This 45 min talk includes a hot drink and time to ask questions. Your ticket includes unguided entry to A Christmas Feast in the house, and time to explore the garden at your own pace. Please check house opening times and leave yourself plenty of time for your house visit – we recommend at least 90 minutes.

Please meet at the top garden gates ten minutes before the event start time. You will be greeted by a member of the learning team. The talk takes place in the Old Potting Shed, a step free, accessible venue. Please email education@chatsworth.org if you have any questions about accessibility.
