As a thank you for your support, Chatsworth House Trust would like to invite Chatsworth Friends to preview the new 2025 exhibition, The Gorgeous Nothings: Flowers at Chatsworth and experience an exclusive programme of free talks, tours and entertainment.
We'd also like to invite you to bring along a guest (one guest per membership).
If you would like to join us on the day, please book your complimentary preview tickets by clicking on the 'BOOK EVENT' button above. All tickets must be booked in advance.
New for 2025
A preview ticket will provide access to the house, garden, and farmyard plus a range of complimentary entertainment and 'drop in' activities.
Important
Friends preview day is very popular, we will make every effort to park cars as quickly as possible, however, there are likely to be queues particularly if you are arriving between 10am and 11.30am.

The house will open from 10am until 6pm, with last entry at 5pm.

What's on
Be the first to see our new exhibition The Gorgeous Nothings: Flowers at Chatsworth.
You can meet some of the Collections Team along the route who will be happy to answer questions about the exhibition, and about Chatsworth and the Devonshire Collections.
In addition, you can also experience:
10.30am - 1pm: piano player in the Ante Library
11am - 5pm: view the Chatsworth Theatre and Belvedere (drop in, access via the garden, next to the Orangery Gift Shop)
1pm - 4.45pm: singing harpist in the Painted Hall

In the garden
The garden will be open from 10.30am-6pm, with last entry at 5pm

Guided tours
Experience a range of 'drop in' guided tours around the garden:
- Garden walking tours | 10.45am, 11.45am,12.45pm & 1.45pm from Flora's Temple
- Garden tractor and trailer rides | regular intervals between 10.30am - 4.30pm from the tractor-trailer stop by the Orangery gift shop

In the farmyard and adventure playground
The farmyard and adventure playground will be open from 10.30am-5pm, with last entry at 4pm
Ticket required: Included with preview ticket.
Meet and feed the animals, take a tractor and trailer ride through the park and discover more about what we do in our animal talks (all activities are drop-in):
- 11am-1pm & 2pm-4pm | Tractor trailer rides
- 11.30am, 1.30pm & 3.30pm | Animal handling sessions
- All day | Free animal feed to hand feed the goats and sheep

Filming of talks: To enable as many members as possible to enjoy our preview day talks, we have arranged for them to be filmed.
Links to the films will be shared in the April Friends email.
Talks
Our talks will take place in The Old Potting Shed in the garden, located near the glasshouses, and last approximately 30 minutes plus questions.
Ticket required: you will need to pre-book a preview ticket plus a ticket for each talk you wish to attend.
Important information: All talks and tours are complimentary but must be booked in advance and tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please book considerately and only book if you are certain you can attend the talk, this will ensure the maximum number of Friends can benefit from the limited spaces available. All seats will be allocated on arrival. Please note that we are unable to offer anywhere sheltered to queue for talks.
