Join our archives and library team for a very special morning in the Chatsworth Library and Archives. The day includes exclusive access to the Chatsworth Library to have a closer look at some the literary treasures including early library catalogues, a first edition of Pride and Prejudice and early editions of Hobbes, Pope, Gaskell, Bronte and more.
Meeting Point
Please meet at the North Entrance gates at 10:50am for and 11am start. After the event your ticket includes house, garden and farmyard entry so you can spend the afternoon exploring at your own pace.
Accessibility
This event takes place in the Chatsworth Library and the Collections Study Room. Unfortunately due to the delicate nature of the historic carpet in the library, it is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Please wear flat shoes with soft soles – you may not be allowed access to the library if wearing block heeled or stiletto shoes. The route in the house includes some stairs but there is a lift available. There will be some periods of standing.
