This event is exclusive to Chatsworth Patrons.
Go behind the scenes into the Muniments Room, home of the Chatsworth Archives, to explore the results of a recent collaboration between the Chatsworth Estate GIS team and the Archives team.
Taking historic maps from the Archives, the GIS team have been recreating them using modern mapping technology, allowing a greater understanding of the evolution of the landscape.
Learn more about 'georeferencing' and how old and new are working together to uncover new information useful to researchers.
