Develop a fresh and vibrant approach to painting flowers with pen and wash techniques with international artist and Peak District Artisan Pam Smart.
Be amazed at how even the simplest of line drawings can be transformed by adding watercolour. Take your inspiration from a beautiful posy of fresh flowers, which you will personally collect from the Chatsworth cut flower garden with the expert guidance of our gardeners.
Pen and wash is a simple technique to master and even beginners can feel confident in creating a unique and vibrant piece of work. Professional artists’ materials will be provided but feel free to bring along your favourite watercolour brushes if you have them. Please also provide your own apron.
The day includes tea, coffee and a delicious locally sourced graze box lunch from the Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop.
This workshop will take place in our art studio space in the garden. The garden is accessible but there may be some inclines. Please contact education@chatsworth.org if you have any specific access requirements.
Meet at 9.50am at the top garden gates (near the Stables) ready for a 10am start.
