Join our Archive and Library team for a special morning in the Chatsworth Library and Collections Study Room exploring the fascinating stories of the Women who made Chatsworth.
Enjoy exclusive access to the Library to have a closer look at some of the extraordinary archive/library material relating to Bess of Hardwick, Countess Christian, Duchess Georgiana, Duchess Elizabeth (Bess Foster), Blanche Cavendish and Sarah Paxton.
The morning also includes a trip into our Study Room where our Archive and Library team will be on hand to answer any questions and give a fascinating insight into the items on display.
Meeting Point
Please meet at the North Entrance at 10:50am for an 11am start. After the event your ticket includes house and garden tickets so you can spend the afternoon exploring at your own pace. You will also receive a hot drink voucher.
Accessibility
This event takes place in the Chatsworth Library and the Collections Study Room. The route to the Chatsworth Library and Collections Study Room includes steps, but a lift is available if required. Unfortunately due to the delicate nature of the historic carpet in the library, it is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. Please wear flat shoes with soft soles – you may not be allowed access to the library if wearing block heeled or stiletto shoes.
