Visiting the house, garden and farmyard
Unlimited access to the house, garden, farmyard and playground, plus free parking during open season (March - January) is included with your membership. You also benefit from unlimited access to the farmyard and playground when it opens for February half-term.
How to book
During busy periods, such as weekends and school or bank holidays, we recommend that you book your tickets in advance.
Simply visit the book tickets page via the link below, select your required ticket type then enter your Friends membership number and the email associated with that number. You'll find your membership number printed on your card.
If you wish to buy guest tickets, your 10% discount will be automatically applied once you have verified your membership.
Exclusive Friends Events
Friends Preview Day | 14 March
Visit our 2025 exhibition and explore the house, garden, farmyard and playground before anyone else at our Friends Preview Day. This year, Friends can also bring along one guest per membership. Tickets are included in your membership but must be booked in advance.
We will be offering a series of exclusive drop-in and pre-bookable talks and tours, as well as entertainment.

Friends Garden Party | Date in July tbc
Join us in the garden for our annual Friends get-together. Bring a picnic and experience live music, tractor and trailer rides, children's entertainment and a firework finale. This event is exclusive to Chatsworth Friends and their guests.

Chatsworth events
Entry to these events is included with Friends membership. We recommend you book your Friends tickets and any discounted guest tickets in advance to speed up your entry as these events are usually popular.
Please book a relevant farmyard and playground, house and garden or garden ticket. Visit the event page for details of the ticket required.

Easter at Chatsworth | dates tbc
Experience Easter crafts, animal handling and tractor and trailer rides at the farmyard. You can also take part in an Easter egg hunt (small charge applies).

Chatsworth Family Festival | 30 May - 1 June
The Family Festival takes place in the garden and follows a series of family-focused activities across Chatsworth designed to help keep children entertained over the May school holidays.
Details of this year's festival will be online soon.
Chatsworth Garden & Plant Fair | 6 - 8 June
Join us in the garden for expert talks and the opportunity to meet and buy from specialist plant nurseries. There will also be live music and local food.

Celebrating Jane Austen | 13 - 15 June
A weekend of Regency-themed events in the house and garden to mark 250 years since the birth of Jane Austen, and 20 years since Chatsworth was immortalised on screen as 'Pemberley' in Joe Wright's film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen.

Chatsworth Country Fair | 29 - 31 August 2025
- As a Friend, you receive an adult ticket for every adult member. Children aged 15 and under, or included in a family membership, do not need a separate ticket.
- A link to download your tickets will be sent to you on email and published here in early August 2025 Please follow the instructions provided.
- Please note that you will need your membership type, membership ID number (the first 10 digits of the membership number) and your postcode for verification.
Christmas at Chatsworth | 8 November 2025 - 4 January 2026
Christmas at Chatsworth tickets are included in your Friends membership. These will be on sale later this year - you will be notified in advance by email.
We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment as the Friends ticket allocation can sell out at peak periods, including market days, weekends and the week before Christmas.
Pre-booking is essential for all visits over Christmas.
Christmas market | 8 November - 14 December 2005
Chatsworth Friends can book Christmas Market car parking tickets as part of your membership. Tickets will be released for sale later this year - you will be notified by email in advance.
We recommend booking early to avoid disappointment as tickets for the most popular periods sell out.
Please do not use the parking links on the market event page as they will not work. Booking links for Friends will be added to this page and to the main book tickets page when they go on sale.
Pre-booking is essential for all visits over Christmas.
