If you are planning to visit the house, you can hire one of our new sensory bags at no charge. These can be reserved online when you pre-book your tickets to visit the house or you can ask to collect one in the Entrance Hall when you arrive. Please note that unreserved sensory bags are allocated on a first come first serve basis.
The sensory bags must be returned at the end of the house visitor route.
Christmas at Chatsworth
Christmas is a very busy time at Chatsworth. The house is decorated with lots of colours, lights, sounds and new objects that can be overwhelming.
It is also a very busy time in the house with lots of visitors.
In the garden we have a light trail with some sound and projections. There are areas of the garden that are quieter and not illuminated.
Please speak to a member of our team when you arrive if you would like to know where you to find a quiet space during your visit in the house or garden.
