Simply show your bus or train ticket, discount voucher received from the bus driver or demonstrate that you arrived by bicycle for that day’s journey at one of the till points at the house, garden or farmyard.

- We are a 40-minute drive from Sheffield railway station.
If travelling through Baslow, you will see the Golden Gates into Chatsworth. These are for authorised access only, except in the case of some special events. Please follow the brown signs for the public entrance to Chatsworth on the B6012.
The house car park – conveniently located next to the house, garden, stables and farmyard – is open every day until 7pm. Car parks are closed until further notice.

- The car park costs £4 per vehicle, except during Christmas market.
Complimentary parking admits one vehicle per five tickets booked and does not include coaches or mini buses. Vehicles must be small enough to fit safely in our standard parking spaces.
Please be aware we do not have a designated parking area for motor homes.
Calton Lees car park is located at the southern end of the park and is open every day until 7pm and costs £3 per vehicle. Please be aware that this is a small car park.
We do not have electric car charging points at Chatsworth. However, there are some in the local area. Please see public charging networks.
A number of local bus services come to Chatsworth and stop at the house. The bus stop is just a short walk from the house, garden and farmyard entrances.
Buses from Bakewell
The 218 service operated by TM Travel runs between Sheffield and Bakewell, stopping at Chatsworth daily. The 218 service is following an emergency timetable until further notice. View the 218 emergency timetable.
Buses from Buxton
The 58 service operated by High Peak runs between Buxton and Macclesfield, stopping at Chatsworth on Sundays and Bank Holidays. View the High Peak 58 timetable.
Buses from Chesterfield
The 170 and x70 services operated by Hulleys run between Chesterfield and Bakewell, stopping in Baslow daily. View Hulley's timetables.
Passengers arriving by bus into Baslow village are able to access the park via a public footpath. From the bus stop at Nether End, Baslow, walk over the single track bridge and follow the path to your right. It is then a pleasant 2km walk to the house and attractions.

The National Express service passes through Bakewell; services from Bakewell to Chatsworth are detailed above.
The High Peak Skyline 199 service runs between Manchester Airport and Buxton; services from Buxton to Chatsworth are detailed above.

National bus services
The closest major train station to Chatsworth is Chesterfield. Buses from Chesterfield do not come all the way into to Chatsworth. The closest bus stop is Nether End, Baslow, which is 2km from Chatsworth (approximately 25 minutes’ walk). Passengers arriving by bus into Baslow are able to access Chatsworth park via a public footpath. From the bus stop at Nether End, Baslow, walk over the single track bridge and follow the path to your right. It is then a pleasant 2km walk to the house and attractions. East Midlands Trains operates regular trains to and from Chesterfield via Derby. Chesterfield station is approximately two hours journey from London St Pancras.
Matlock is the nearest station to Chatsworth, and buses from Matlock run directly to Chatsworth. See the ‘By bus’ section above for further details.
It is possible to take the train to Sheffield and then take a bus from the Sheffield Interchange (across the road from the train station) directly to Chatsworth. Buses run approximately every hour daily. See the ‘By bus’ section above for further details.
